About SELMY Graded Coins

At SELMY, we help people sell graded gold coins the way it should be done — with proper appreciation for rarity, condition, and collector demand, not just gold weight. Because the right coin in the right hands can be worth far more than its melt value, our job is to help you unlock the true value of what you own.

Unlock true value

We sell into a wide network of buyers who understand what makes graded coins special — scarcity, eye appeal, grade, and market demand. That means we’re able to price coins as collectible assets, not commodities. If you’ve taken the time to grade your coins, you deserve a buyer who values that properly.

Serious demand & direct corporate relationships

SELMY is built on professional buyer relationships and established demand. We also have direct corporate relationships with companies with demand from serious buyers looking to acquire graded coins.

The SELMY process

4 Simple Steps

Step One
Send your coin info (App / WhatsApp / Email / Phone)

Send clear photos of the coin and the slab label, plus any key details (year/type/grade).

You can do this via the app, WhatsApp, email or phone, whatever is easiest.

If we need anything else, we’ll let you know quickly.

step Two
Step Three
You receive an offer

We come back with a clear offer for your coin(s). If you’re happy to proceed, we confirm the next steps and arrange collection or drop-off.

Step Three
Step 4
We buy your coins and arrange collection or appointment drop-off

Courier collection (South of the UK):

If you’re in the South of the UK, we can arrange a courier collection to make it simple and convenient.

Drop-off by appointment (Anywhere in the UK):

Step 4

What Is A Graded Coin?

A graded coin is a coin that’s been authenticated as genuine and professionally scored for its condition by an independent grading service.

It’s then sealed in a protective, tamper-evident holder (often called a “slab”) with a label showing key details like the coin type, year, and grade, helping buyers and sellers understand its value more clearly.

Our Evaluation

Every coin is priced individually based on key factors such as:

Grade & Condition

The certified grade (and eye appeal) strongly influences value.

Rarity & Mintage

Lower availability, key dates, and scarce varieties typically command higher prices.

Market demand

Current buyer demand and comparable sold prices for the same coin/grade guide the offer.

Coin Specifics

Type, year, mint mark, and any recognised varieties or special designations can increase value.

Courier Collection

If you’re in the South of the UK, we can arrange a secure courier collection to make selling simple and hassle-free.

Once you’ve accepted our offer, we’ll confirm the pickup details, collect your coins from your chosen address, and keep you updated throughout the process.
